Drug-free Pain Relief

The Reason I started coming to Mossuto Chiropractic Center was because I had chronic migraines. I heard that chiropractic had worked on others and didn't want to be popping expensive pain killers anymore. I have been receiving care now for 5 months and have not had a migraine the whole time. I sought out the help of a chiropractor due to severe back pain. I had trouble walking. Going up and down stairs was agony. This went on for what seemed like forever. Nothing helped until I saw Dr. Mark. After a few months I finally got relief. I no longer take pain pills (which didn’t help). Walking, stair climbing, and getting in and out of the car are all done without pain- thanks to Dr. Mark. I highly recommend chiropractic- it gave me a new lease on life.

While traveling with my two children Ruben and Anna, came the unexpected, which was a car accident. Several months later I came to the conclusion that I should go to a chiropractor due to my severe back and neck discomfort that just wouldn’t go away. The same was true for my loved ones. We were going back and forth to our family doctor who just prescribed pain killers which made me feel powerless. I also didn’t want to become drug-dependent. One month after the initial visit at Dr. Mark’s office, I have to admit, something extraordinary that I didn’t expect occurred. My nine year old son, Ruben, who has constantly worn pull-up underpants to avoid accidents at night has finally slept in his pajamas without wetting his bed for the first time in three weeks, which hasn’t occurred before. Of course, my back discomforts are almost gone as well.

To anyone who may have doubts,                                                                                                                           One Sunday morning I stepped out of my bed and immediately fell to my knees from the most excruciating pain I have every felt. The pain was in the neck and shoulder area and was completely debilitating.Let me note that at this time, I was extremely physically fit playing basketball three days a week and lifting weights on the other days. This pain seemed to come from no where.My wife drove me to the emergency room where x-rays were unable to determine the source of the pain. The doctor gave me high powered pain killers and sent me home with a prescription for more. Two days later the pain was no better and so I went to visit my family doctor who was also unable to find the source of the problem. He offered me more drugs. In the middle of the next night, I couldn’t sleep due to the pain and I suddenly remembered that one of my basketball buddies was a Chiropractor. I dug through my wallet and found Dr. Mark’s beat up business card and went unannounced to his office the next morning.Within a few minutes after examining my x-rays, asking questions about the location of pain and possible events which may have caused trauma to my spine, Dr. Mark went to work. He determined that I had most likely pinched a nerve due to a blow to the side of my head while playing basketball. Left unattended this “stiff neck” had progressively gotten worse. Within a few hours of the first session I was starting to feel relief from the pain. After the fourth or fifth session I was flabbergasted by the progress we had made and was starting to get uninterrupted sleep again. Three weeks after being completely debilitated by this pinched nerve I was pain free playing basketball again and sleeping at night. Needless to say, I am not a stupid man and I now see Dr. Mark often to make sure I give my body the maintenance it needs to run at peak performance and injury free. I first met Dr. Mark and Jamie in July 1999 at the Miramar Air Show where they were providing free SEMG tests to the public. At that time, I was suffering from mild, but chronic, pains in my left shoulder. The second SEMG test in Dr. Mark’s office confirmed a definite imbalance in my neuro-skeletal system. Dr. Mark asked me if I wanted to treat the immediate symptom or treat the underlying source of my pain—naturally I chose the second choice. And thus started my daily visits for the first couple of months. I was amazed that within two or three visits my mysterious pain disappeared. I kept seeing Dr. Mark to restore balance to my system, and also because he kept me healthy without the use of any drugs. I deeply cherish the relationships that he so caringly nurtures. I respect the knowledge and care that he demonstrates. Dr. Mark also helped me when my back gave out on me after I did some improper lifting of some heavy boxes. Dr. Mark is an awesome man and I share my testimonial as a tribute to him.

When I came to visit the chiropractor for the first time after my auto accident I could not walk straight without pain, so I was kind of slumped to one side. After a few visits the pain wasn't as severe, and from that day I stopped taking my medication and accepted the natural healing. It has been a wonderful experience as well as educational. Dr. Mark and his staff have been incredible in my healing process. I don't experience the headaches as often and I can sleep without being so restless. The pain and my posture speak for itself.
